Learning Letter

I feel that this class has prepared me a lot for my future teaching career. Before this class I had no idea how to really do a lesson plan, let alone consecutive lesson plans. The mini lesson plan, as well as the three-week lesson plan were real eye openers. They were extremely challenging and rewarding at the same time. It felt really good at the end of this class to look back at all we did and realize that I did that. I got up in front of the class and taught a lesson plan that I created, and that I worked really hard, and not only did I enjoy teaching it, but it was well received by my peers acting as students, it felt like such a major accomplishment. I learned a lot about assessment and more about the common core. I also know how to plan for and be successful in the classroom. This was my first education class and I can say that it was really .  I think that my participation in the class has really affected my idea of what kind of teacher I want to be. I want to be the type of teacher that students aren’t afraid to come to for help, and the one whose class they look forward to. The main thing I learned in this class, is that you can get what you need to get accomplished as a teacher and a student, and have fun and make it enjoyable for the students and yourself, school shouldn’t be something that you have to do or go to, it should be somewhere you go because you want to learn and want to be there. This class has prepared me beyond words and I now have the confidence to go into a classroom and teach and know I belong there.
